Interesting revelations in a Pew research poll. It seems the polls are the same but are "Reversed"!! …60% of Democrats are FOR National security monitoring and now roughly 60% of Republicans who supported Bush spying are now against Obama spying the exact opposite of polls under Bush. THIS is why politicians who are padding corporate pockets have such an "easy" time with the US public …many will flip flop like a flat fish on hot pavement! They lead you around like a shetland pony in a parade. But here is the catch!!! …Under Bush it was totally under the discretion of the oval office or the president himself partaking in WARRANTLESS spying. But now Obama confiscates all records (not actually eavesdropping like Bush) …only AFTER …going thru a FISA court and a federal judge seated there and he obtains a WARRANT to log phone calls. So with fairly extensive moderations and amendments to Patriot Act regulations …it is completely plausible that a Democrat would now feel more tolerant of logging phone records ….But for a Republican to defend the reckless Bush Illegal spying then but now be against it even though it has improved substantially can in no way be justified …. it is PURE HYPOCRISY on a MASSIVE scale ….it is indefensible and absolutely LAUGHABLE …ROFLMAO!
