Interesting video on the Amish and how they have a lower cancer rate than most Americans. I had an opportunity to visit the Amish community many times while living in Ohio. They live clean lives, grow their foods, maintain their own farms, stay in monogamous relationships, walk or buggy ride to most places, use very little electricity, eat simple without processed or chemical and pesticide foods, breast nurse their babies, make all of the clothes they wear and are practitioners of the Words of God, they live hygienic lives, bake their own breads, eat only foods that they have grown and everything is homemade.Their homes are solar-energy run homes with many having no televisions at all. They practice mid-wifely birthing their own babies. They practice health and holistic medicines even making homemade remedies. They have streams running through their communities and pump the water from there streams into their houses....fresh water without chemicals. I was so impressed with their cultured and how they lived. They live a village existence and each one is a part of the whole village, bartering and giving where needed particularly to the very young, elderly, sick and shut-ins.
