Interesting yet disturbing facts: According to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, In America, 3,500 to 4,000 churches close their doors each year. During the last five years alone, more than 18,000 American churches have disappeared. This is happening largely because pastoral leadership is dwindling as pastors quit the ministry in very large numbers. With so many pastors leaving the ministry and so many more barely hanging on, local congregations are paying the price.
