Our client is a mid-tier professional accounting practice based in the City fringe with a diverse client base and a strong leadership team. They have a risked based approach to undertaking professional, high quality audits for clients which is in conformance with international auditing standards and applicable legislative requirements. Their aim is to provide clients with a value added, constructive audit service – not just a compliance audit. Successful candidates MUST have the following key attributes and experience to be considered for this position: Reporting and advisory responsibility for operational and compliance audits. Identifying and reporting risk management issues, internal control and IT system deficiencies. Evaluating the effectiveness of internal systems of control to detect and prevent fraud. Pro-actively developing strong relationships with stakeholders by communicating and delivering audits effectively. Government sector internal auditing experience. The co-ordination of management action plans that arise out of the internal audit process. Up to date knowledge of standards in financial/operational auditing. You will be a CPA/CA qualified individual with the ability to demonstrate a minimum of 3 years internal audit experience gained from within professional services or commercial environment. As a confident decision maker, you will have a high attention to detail and be a competent negotiator when communicating effectively across key business partners.
