International students bring huge benefits to the UK economy: higher education as an export industry contributed around £7.9 billion annually to the economy in 2009 and has the potential to contribute almost £17 billion by 2025. So, what does Theresa May, UK Home Secretary, mean when she says she plans to force foreign graduates to leave the country before they get a chance to apply for work here. Plans like these deter foreign students which will invariably affect the UK economy. Im also surprised that international students in the UK are called immigrants after theyve huge school fees to study here. Thats just pure ignorance!
