Internship Opportunity: Social Media and Event Planning Intern CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: Social Media • Develop social media strategy to better promote our programs • Research new social media platforms that our organization should be utilizing and set up accounts • Implement and manage weekly postings, comments, original content • Tracking trends and researching what type of content sparks engagement • Respond and Interact with comments and followers • Create engaging and original content that creates conversations • Find and increase the number of users to follow/friend/like our business • Tracking the growth of the impact of social media on our business • Research Hashtags to utilize in tweets and instagram • Take photos at ReStore and Build Sites to post on social media platforms Event Planning • Assist with calling and emailing potential participants and vendors • Assist with gathering and putting together event materials • Assist with training event volunteers in their daily duties • Assist at special events with registration, volunteers, food preparation, etc. • Promote events through social media • Other event-related tasks where needed Qualifications: • Proficient in Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/YouTube • Personally and/or Professionally active on major platforms in the social media space • Exceptional writing skills • You are highly organized and have a system for keeping a multitude of things in order • Must have a vehicle in order to drive from office to build sites to ReStore • Must be able to work Saturdays on a regular basis • Good communication and interpersonal skills • Keen interest in digital marketing • Must maintain a positive disposition in a fast-paced environment Please send resume and cover letter to [email protected] This is an unpaid internship for college credit.
