The River Management Society is offering two internships through a partnership with the NPS Rivers, Trails, and Conservation Assistance Program to help create tools for our river and watershed partners. RMS Internships - 2015 ☀Water Trails Economic Impact - Research and Categorization Internship The River Management Society seeks an intern who will collect surveys, reports, assessments and other evidence of water trails economic impact published in 2012, 2013 and 2014; summarize the metrics and results; and identify key findings in a report and presentation. Ten weeks (flexible start) January - April, 2015. Closes December 19, 2014. ☀Guidance for Landowners on Publicly-Used Rivers and Waterways - Internship: river-management.org/assets/JobTarget/internship position - landowner responsibility.pdf The River Management Society seeks an individual to provide a current assessment of landowner considerations and responsibilities, including a resource of national and state-specific legal statutes, case law regarding river access/private lands, and precedent that can be published online as a tool for river managers, water trail leaders and members of the public who visit and recreate on waterways. Ten weeks (flexible start) January - April or May - July, 2015. Round I closes December 19, 2014. A second round if necessary will be announced January 14, 2014.
