Interpreter Appreciation Day Redux...Looks like we were so anxious to celebrate Interpreter Appreciation Day this year that we went on the assumption that it was celebrated on May 1st every year - just like in 2013. So, we reached out to the days founder, Joshua Jones, who informed us that the day is officially celebrated the first Wednesday in May. In 2014, Interpreter Appreciation Day is May 7th, today. Thank you, Joshua, for creating this yearly reminder about the sign language interpreting profession and for committing to working with us to promote the correct date in the years to come. Happy Interpreter Appreciation Day!
