Intimacy where is it & where can I get some? I read recently vision requires very little intimacy. Hearing is close behind. Smell, taste, and touch are far more intimate. Interesting that smell and taste are often lost in later years without anyway to retrieve them. Hearing, many chose not to seek help because maybe they have heard all they can stand. I remember staying with my parents and visiting just Mom I could never understand the volume of the TV especially at night. When I was a companion in hospice and a chaplain at the hospital, I experienced the same phenomenon. TV blaring generally on news stations or mindless programming. Why? Let me complete the picture. Anyone, positioned as if they were interested, in front of the television was sleeping. How unfortunate that an invention that has uses of magnificence people have normalized this technology into useless dribble? I admit I am guilty also, yet there is only so many facts I can stand and most fantasy or fiction I do not get. My interests are inherently deep within.
