Intimidation is a form of weakness, and so is anger. We are professionals and not one person has control over another in this world. I will keep moving forward in my field of work, because I love my job; it has given me many challenges to overcome, and I feel like Im finally at the top! My 1 year anniversary at Wil Sii Sitaatkws Head Start Centre is coming up on the 23rd, and I would have never expected to be where I am today if I hadnt overcome the obstacles that have been placed in front of me. I smile today because when I reflect I am not looking at the hardship Ive been through but rather the lives Ive impacted through family and parent involvement. I am honest and have nothing to hide, but rather, I feel a sense of pride knowing that the children and families of Gitwinksihlkw and our local communities are reaching out to the programs we now offer.
