Into the Woods this afternoon with Cat Corby, and so glad we - TopicsExpress

Into the Woods this afternoon with Cat Corby, and so glad we shared it. This is probably my favorite theatre piece of all time, and this Rob Marshall production lives up to its potential in every regard. (Yes, I cried.) It stays true to the book and music by James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim, with few changes. Ive given the music CD and DVDs of the original 1987 stage production (with Bernadette Peters) as gifts to family and friends with children, usually with a note that I used lessons from this show as a guidebook for raising my own children, Ben Corby and Cat. The Disney film is an instant classic. Not a wrong note in any of the performances, visually stunning. Glad I got to experience it with one of my own and hope to see it with Ben and Krystin Corby one of these days. nytimes/2014/12/25/movies/into-the-woods-disneys-take-on-the-sondheim-lapine-classic.html?_r=0
