Introducing a SF Angel, Amiya: Phoebe was picked up last night in Galveston and a volunteer reached out to SFA for rescue. After seeing her condition, we could NEVER say no to an angel in such a condition. She is en route to us now and first stop obviously will be the doctor. We will post details about her medical condition once known. This was the plea we received: My name is ------ and I work for ----- city animal control. Im sure my email is one in 100 that you receive on a daily basis, but i cannot turn a blind eye to this gentle spirited girl. I picked her up last night on a call out. The police officer said he needed my assistance with a dog that was almost dead. Words could not describe what my eyes would soon witness. After doing some investigating, we hit nothing but dead ends in where this baby came from, therfore, theres nobody to be held accountable or prosecuted. It just makes me sick. She was brought in as a stray, so the clock is ticking to get this girl to safety. Im sure, like all rescues, you are at capacity, but i cannot live with myself had I not tried every Avenue to get her to safety. As I approached her, she wobbled over to me slowly, and nuzzle her head into my stomach. After all shes been through, she has such a trusting disposition. She is begging me to save her, and I have nobody to turn to. Can you please consider taking her into your program? She is currently at the galveston county animal resource center located in texas city tx.
