Introducing you to another feather of WINGS today….Gugni Gill !! Gugni Gill is a PunjabiWomanPride in Canada today… Her relationship with WINGS goes back to 2011 when she was there to support the cause of women, even prior to the birth of WINGS …. She is one woman who is always there to support a community cause and never turns it down, if she can fit it in her busy schedule. A proud feather of WINGS, Gugni was born in Punjab but raised in Africa. As a young woman with dreams in her eyes, she started her journey as a film actress, in later Dara Singh’s directed movie ‘Rab Diyan Rakha’. Soon she was signing into other movies as the lead actress…. Like every other girl, Gugni too, wanted to raise a family, and chose to give up her career in films and today she is happily married to a York region senior police officer with two beautiful sons. Having said this, although she is a very firm believer of her role in her family, Gugni has never been away from community work and the world of fashion… She has been chosen Miss Punjab, and has done many shows in India and abroad. In Canada she has staged innumerable Shows under the big banners and is a popular master of ceremonies with a stage presence that is full of grace and humility. Her schedule is always booked as a ‘judge’ at talent shows or beauty pageants. It won’t be unworthy to mention here that she was she was selected as the Brand Ambassador for the Imran Khan Cancer Foundation. She was also awarded Mrs India Unites Nations (as a delegate) award and Mrs United Nations International (2012), first runners up. Today she sits in the on the Advisory Board of PIFF ( Punjabi International Film Festival) Canada and was an honorable judge of PIFF in 2013. 2014 and she is a well-known name in Politics today and ran a fierce competition as a candidate for Regional Councillor in Bramption, Canada. Her days are packed with charity involvements, fashion shows and as an active socialite. A nurturing mother, a doting wife and a great girl-friend who stands for a cause, is how she is known. So proud to showcase how Gugni was there in Celebrating Womanhood Events in 2013 and 2014.
