Introduction and purpose of this communication The deployment of Militia forces at Cliven Bundy’s ranch in April 2014 exposed what I consider to be serious logistical and tactical problems with such deployments. Putting all flag waving and chest thumping aside; were the Federal government to respond with their available resources at that time, those deployed would have been largely slaughtered. I am not trying to belittle the courage and dedication of those who answered the call, far from it. This paper is merely an attempt to address deficiencies that I believe could have caused unnecessary casualties and the military defeat of those at that deployment and assure that forces deployed to future confrontations immediately assume a posture that will maximize their effectiveness against the threat. commonsensetome/2014/06/03/militia-organization-in-times-of-conflict/
