Invitation run The club is thinking of planning a ‘clubs invitation run’ this is where DLRR will extend an invite to local running clubs to join us for an extra club run so we get to know others and them us. A number of us went along to the Leighton Buzzard one recently and other clubs hold them. Anyway Jo Down and I are hoping to organise this but we will need a bit of help – the plans we have so far are: When Wednesday 21 August at 19.00 Where Either the Pub at Furzton Lake or Caldecotte Lake Who Local clubs will be invited, to join all DLRR runners who want to run as well as anyone else who would like to come along How We would run this like we do with the Sunday runs with loop backs – this way runners get to meet other runners with each loop The run would be for about an hour then hopefully people would go for a drink afterwards Help needed: We will need help with: Before: * Inviting other clubs On the night: * Admin – get people to sign in * Lead runners – who know the route and can lead the loop backs * Tail – a couple of runners or bikers for the tail of the run (carry first aid kit) * Help – runners who are around the group that can just sort any issues * All – give our ‘guests’ the DLRR experience * Photographer So if you can help please let me or Jo Down know ASAP – it is not that long away (Martin/Jo)
