Iran: Hunger striker in Camp Liberty in critical condition NCRI - On the 80th day, five female and three male hunger strikers were transferred to the Iraqi clinic at Camp Liberty. Two of the females faced a sudden decrease in blood pressure, measuring 7 over 4 and had become very weak and ill. Another female, who had been previously transferred to hospital, has not faced a stable condition yet and faces a dangerous situation. A fourth female was transferred to the clinic for severe pain in the muscles, intense weakness and blood pressure of 8 over 6. Two of the male hunger strikers have faced ulcer and another has reduced a tremendous amount of weight, reaching 45 kilograms. The condition of many of the hunger strikers in Camp Liberty and across the world is very critical and many are being transferred to hospital. On the 75th day, one of the hunger strikers in Ottawa, Canada, became very ill and was transferred to hospital. The hunger strike in Ottawa has been praised by many residents, different Iranian associations and Canadian personalities. They hand in flowers to the hunger strikers and readout their associations’ statements in solidarity. On Saturday, November 16, Mr. David Mattes, lawyer and human rights activist and winner of the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize, came to visit the hunger strikers and emphasized that he will do anything in his power for the safety of the residents at Liberty and the release of the 7 abducted Iranian dissidents by Maliki forces.
