Iraq oil exports exceed $6bn in October The preliminary statistics issued by Iraq’s State Oil Marketing Organization (SOMO) showed an increase in Iraq’s oil exports to 76.28 million barrels in October 2014 compared to 76 million barrels in September, generating revenues amounted to $6.24 billion, said Ministry spokesman Assem Jihad. The daily average of exports from southern ports reached 2.46 million barrels in October, said Jihad, highlighting that the average selling price reached $81.83 per barrel. Worth noting, the Ministry has affirmed that oil exports to the Turkish port of Ceyhan are suspended due to terrorist operations.
