Ireland has been rabies free since 1903, the UK since 1902. EU legislation is demanding all dogs travelling between the two countries should now have a passport and a RABIES VACCINATION. This is being enforced by DEFRA (department of the environment and rural affairs) This is a having adetrimental effect on the Irish pound dogs who now how to wait 21 days before travelling to the UK due to this unnecessary regulation. While the EU passport is a good idea the rabies stipulation is not. RIP REX
