#IrishWater Theresa Kelly 36 mins · Just back from Donaghmede to say im shocked is a understatement. A very peaceful protest with residents bring tea, coffee, soup and all sorts until the arrival of Inspector Hyland. He proceeded to closed off both ends of the road and when a resident tried to get through with a sick child the needed a doctor she was refused and had to walk with the child in the cold and the rain, another resident was not allowed take her car out of her driveway to go to work, another resident had a appointment with CRC AND HE WAS ALSO TOLD NO. then he blocked off all exits and entrances to the estate with guards,who told us when we went to ring a ambulance that he would not let it in for the child. HAVE WE LOST THE RIGHT TO GO FREELY AND SAFELY FROM OUR HOMES OR DO WE NOW LIVE IN A POLICE STATE. What gives GMC/SIERRA the right to completely block off both sides of the road with barriers leaving no where for the elderly and young to walk safely. DISGUSTED IS ALL I CAN SAY.
