Is 53:2 He has no form or comeliness [royal, kingly pomp], that we should look at Him, and no beauty that we should desire Him. Who we are in Christ is a heady deal. Many are preaching the riches and the luxuries and the righteousness and the sonship of who we are in Christ mixed with who we are in the Body of Christ. This is causing much disillusionment in our identities. We have to get this sorted out! They are two separate things. The King of Kings, with all He was, walked through crowds of people unnoticed. Our identities in the body of Christ are plain clothes errands and dusty walks and daily chores and getting our hands dirty. It is the difference between being common vessels for common tasks and Holy vessels for Holy tasks. Our identities in Christ are based in Holy. Our identities in the Body are common. Jesus walked this out before us. He walked in the authority that healed and cast demons and peoples jaws dropped at the same words they had heard a million times finally coming alive with authority. He knew who He was in the Kingdom. Yet he was Is. 53:12. This is our example. It isnt about glitz and glamour and being seen. Dont be disappointed when God shows you your purpose in the Body of Christ and it is normal, dull, maybe disarming. There is peace there. It is about being strong and courageous and doing the everyday work. The faithfulness of that not the high times that are breaths of fresh air. It is about dust and dirt and grime. Not the entitlement mentality but the death of the flesh to learn contentment. Holy vessels housed in common vessels. When we are fully who we were created to be in the body of Christ working out of our authority in our identities in Christ humility is there. I am called to be a dying sunflower. Each seed is a teaching that is to be unpacked and taught through the wisdom and revelation God is blessing me with. It means with each seed I have to die to my flesh so that the teaching is pure. It means I can post nothing any longer that isnt from Him but sounds like Him. Prophesy should be intertwined in every call. Nothing should be spoken or done outside of the Spirit. Is that not what jesus said? I do nothing that the Father doesnt tell me to do. We must do nothing outside the Vine. There is a fearsome standard being raised up and called forth. We cant hold back because people before us have done things that caused disgrace. We must walk out our Identity in the body by walking in authority of our identity in Christ not holding back because of fear. If we dont do that we are lying to one another and we are responsible for handicapping the body of christ from coming to complete maturity. We have to have the bit and bridle of the Spirit guiding us. That is why the fear of the Lord IS so important. Mel
