Is anyone in the Palm Grove area along the Northern Highway, close to Gas Tomza, Crystal Auto and the Haulover Bridge, looking for a young female Shepherd or shepherd mix? I dont have a photo yet but the vet says she is definitely not even a year old yet- perhaps 9 months. I found her in the ditch on the roadside in the entrance of Palm Grove. A big shepherd was barking at her but she stayed cowering and immobile. Despite her pain, I was able to rescue her as she has the most loving temperament. Thank goodness as the rain just started..... The wonderful Dr. Pech at Animal Medical Center examined her and has found she has a broken back leg at the top by her hip and a broken foot. Most likely she was a sad victim of a car hit on the highway. The Dr. has given her pain killers and the Medical Center are kind enough to keep her safe and dry for the night. She will need proper medical attention tomorrow. Is her owner anywhere out there that can make the decision to go through with the surgery necessary??? If her owner can not be found- is there any kind soul out there willing to fund her operation and even consider giving her foster care in recovery or a lifelong home?.
