How to clean your bedroom - Step by Step Instructions Remove all items from sleeping area of bed except for sheets and blankets Take everything off the headboard that does not belong Make the bed neatly - fold extra blankets and place at the end of the bed Remove all items from the bureau and table that do not belong Put dirty clothes down the laundry shute All clean clothes put away and bureau drawers closed Return toys / collectibles / books / etc to proper bins or containers Pick up all trash and throw in trash can Take dirty dishes to the kitchen Put snack food back in the pantry Clean up electronics area - make neat & tidy Sweep anything that is left into pile and put away Sweep room thoroughly and use dust pan to clean up Hang the broom and dustpan in the stairwell to the basement
