Is it lack of exposure or intellectual dishonesty.........? One thing that still hunts Labour party in the UK on even date is the issue of welfare state policies without strong corresponding measures against abuse. The above was one of the strongest point the ruling Conservatives party (Tories) capitalized on to gain simple majority in the UK last election in England. Coming home to Nigeria, to my surprise on even date some those purportedly educated or learned are effectively praising open cheque free education policies by Gov Rochas Okorocha with no regard to quality. Free education for political gain with little or no regard to quality amount to nothing than fraud. Gov Okorocha granted free education without near accurate figure of number of students, staff and state of educational infrastructure in the state. Today we see Imo state moving from first her position in WASSCE and NEC to the 9th position. Gov Okorocha first tenure is about to end next year with no meaningful foreign or local investors attracted to the state. Roads constructed are washed away by flood few weeks after commissioning. No point talking about hundred of abandon projects and scandals associated to the same Govt. I am from Anambra state, I know one of my neigbouring community in Ideato Imo state today without functional secondary school or electricity. Imo state hotel project under Okorocha at Okigwe collapsed recently. The moment WASSCE and NECO results were published I saw one Imo state born critics Mr D APC adherent shot of words. He smartly turn around to say that the overall quality of education in Nigeria is going down. I concede to Mr D assertion limited to overall quality of education in Nigeria. On the other hand, I wonder how Mr D expect the quality of education to rise to acceptable standard when those that performed badly are not randomly condemned and those that performed better commended for their efforts and encourage them to do more. Mr D remarks is nothing less than intellectual dishonesty as it lacks good teachers remarks in our results in those good old days. I was reminded that Mr D is a journalist, no wonder the quality of journalism in Nigeria is going down by geometric progression. Another individual I must approach with extreme caution is one Mr. Echika China, he knows it all. A sitting Gov leaving a political platform that secured his first ever political victory in his political career to join unregistered political association is ok and strategic. He think nothing than shouting progressive with little or no substance to support his assertion. In Mr Echikas own world Ali Modu Sheriff, Sani Yerima, Tinubu , Buhari and ors looters are progressives but ex Gov Peter Obi is not because he refused to wine and dine with these notorious individuals above. To Echika Ngige forgery is ok because he tared few kilometers of roads whilst on a stolen mandate. Further he belong to the same notorious gang above. The obvious bad precedent is immaterial to him. To be continued History will judge all of us. Happy Easter my people.
