Is it time to admit that the Church made a horrifying poor - TopicsExpress

Is it time to admit that the Church made a horrifying poor decision when it promoted this man to the Captains Chair? He has repeatedly attacked the Capitalist system claiming that the wealthy nations of the world should give their wealth to the poor nations. Rather than address the actual reasons for the gut wrenching poverty that curse these nations, Francis advocates the discredited Liberation Theology that Bishop Desmond Tutu peddled in the 80s. This is the same Liberation Theology that Pope John Paul II argued was nothing more than Soviet Communism wrapped in a cross. He has started the process of overturning the moral teachings of the church that focus on the creation and support of the family. After all who is he to judge when people engage in activity that is detrimental to their own well being, tends to undermine society and creates more wards of the state. Now he is trying to sell left wing environmental policy. This is the same left wing environmental policy that has the true goal of undermining private property rights, undermining Capitalism in the name of global wealth redistribution. This the same left wing environmental policy that is designed to undermine the Anglo-Saxon-American work ethic that has done so much to ease the plight of man. This attempt to increase the popularity of the church by making it appear more hip in Europe and North America will inevitably drive away the flocks in Africa and South America where most Catholics live. As a result this attempt to please everyone will have the practical effect of pleasing no one, reducing the size of the church and eliminating its moral authority as the largest, most powerful and most influential bulwark against the creeping Humanist Existentialism that is slowly enslaving humanity. Pope John Paul II saw this. Pope Benedict the XVI saw this. I think it is time to admit that Pope Francis may be a good man, but he is an awful Pope and he will likely only get worse. This is the type of religious arrogance that drives the devout to Evangelism.
