If you have a chronic disease, such as a heart condition, diabetes, arthritis or high blood pressure, you should consult with your doctor about what physical activities are best. Tips to getting motivated and started on physical activities include: take a walk after dinner instead of watching television, set aside time for physical activity as part of your daily and weekly routine, try activities with friends and/or family for extra motivation and encouragement, start slow and work your way up to increasing the activities.
