I have been brought up with the old year being let out by the back door, the new year is then let in through the front door by a dark haired male carrying a piece of coal or wood (for warmth) salt (for health) bread ( for food) and silver (for wealth) Therefore bringing into your home everything you want for your family in the coming yr! I know that as every year passes traditions change and thing are added or omitted, but the principle is still the same! Pls bring in the new year as our past generations have done and continue our traditions! 😃 HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!
