I wasn’t even able to sweat anymore after the last few hours. I wasn’t sure if I’ve been in here for a few hours or a few days. I was quickly getting a migraine from the heat and no sleep. Sure I would nod off every now and again but I couldn’t get more than an hour at a time. It was deadly quiet in here all except my breathing which sounded ragged since it hurt to breath deeply thanks to a few busted ribs. Suddenly I heard quiet footsteps. I had to strain to hear them but any sound was like heaven to my ears at this point. “Nathan…I don’t know if you can hear me…but I’m going to get you out of here. I promise.” I heard Davina say. Davina! She’s here? That made a smile break out on my face which made my lip split from being so dry. “And…I love you. Please stay strong.” I had to strain to hear her but since I’ve been in here for a while my hearing has improved since my sight has been cut off. My heart started beating wildly. She loved me? No way, I must have heard wrong. There was no way she could love a screw up like me. I’ve gotten used to the smell now. Heat plus an unclean toilet makes the room smell unbelievably gross. This was my hell right now. Not being able to do anything, or see my family or Davina. If Andrew lays one hand on her I’ll finish what I started yesterday…or was a few days ago. Hell I don’t know anymore! My head lulled back in exhaustion and being overheated. I heard footsteps again and I hoped it was Davina. Hearing her voice gave me an extra boost. The little slider on the door slid over and it hurt my eyes to see that much light and it wasn’t much. Whoever it was slid in some water and gross looking mush. Well at least I wouldn’t be able to see in a moment so I couldn’t see how awful that ish looked. “Enjoy!” I heard a male voice say with malice. I wanted to cuss him out but my throat was too dry to speak. I grabbed the tray quickly before he shut the slider and gulped down the water within just a few seconds. It was like a little piece of heaven in my own personal hell. I took my time eating and tried not to throw up as it wouldn’t help with my dehydration and hunger problem. After I was done I dozed off and once again dreamed of Davina. ----------------------- Davinas POV Now was my time to put the plan in action! I went back inside and it was fairly quiet with the exception of a few inmates here and there playing cards. Andrew was still recovering and it would be a couple more days before he got back to his room. I was still pissed at him but I wasn’t going to focus on that right now. Josh knew the plan as I made my way to where the hole was located. I knew the guard wouldn’t be there. Josh had brought his tricked out truck to ‘show’ Uncle Scott. Of course that means all the other guards wanted to see as well. Boys and their toys right? I took out the mini screwdriver out from behind my tazer gun. I had snatched the keys for down here yesterday and copied it before replacing it. I was flirting with him the entire time so he didn’t know what happened. I quickly made my way to his door and opened it. I heard a pain filled hiss and the smell hit me like a ton of bricks. My eyes watered when I saw him huddled in the small room. “Nathan? Here, take these,” I handed him the clothes making sure to keep my eyes to the floor or his face, “I’m getting you out of here.” There was only so much time we had before someone would come back. I knew it’d be a few more hours before anyone would check on him but the guard could be back any minute “You’re breaking me out?! What? Davina no!” He realized what I was doing. I shook my head “No…you have to do this. You’ll die.” He grabbed my face with his hands and looked at me with a pained expression “Davina, you could get in huge trouble for this! Why are you doing this?” He asked softly at the end. I gave him a watery smile “I’m doing this because you shouldn’t be here in the first place. I’m doing this because if I don’t you’ll die. I’m doing this…because I love you.” He froze for a moment and then grinned and bent down to kiss me. This kiss was filled with so much emotion that I gasped making him seize that opportunity and tasted the inside of my mouth. He pulled back after a moment “I love you too. Thank you.” “See you later.” I winked. I took out my phone and texted Josh.. - Do you want to have dinner at my place tonight?- that was the tell tale sign that Nathan was out and in the vents. He texted back.. -about time you invited me over!- I rolled my eyes. Yeah, I knew that took longer than planned. I hurried out of the corridor so I was not spotted. I quickly made my way back outside.
