Is the Government getting cold feet? Two very important events are taking place in the capital - the 21st Annual Dzongdhags Conference and the National Graduates Orientation Programme. The Opposition is invited to neither event. Last year, they were gracious to invite us to the NGOP and we had a very interesting and hopefully useful (to the participants) session. We were expecting to receive the same courtesy and I still hope that the omission may be an oversight on the part of the organisers. Our Dzongdhags as the chief executives of the Dzongkhags, and our graduates as the future leaders of our country, ought to hear the views and opinions of the opposition party. Times have changed, dynamics have changed and so have the numbers - we are now 15 opposition MPs as opposed to 2 in the first parliament. Hence the voices of our executives and our youths deserve to be heard by the Opposition as well!
