Is the darker patch under the tree where the sun doesnt reach - a shadow of the tree ...or is it the shade of the tree? Something came to me today after my mom showed my sister my study notes - A while back in amongst my notes, I drew a tree... growing from underneath the rocks and beneath a water fall crashing down into a deep plunge pool....yet this tree stemmed out from under the gushing water..and I drew subtle images in its branches and leaves - one an image of a bird (representing shelter, safety, freedom, responsibility) and a butterfly (representing continuos growth, development and metamorphisis) both representing new life, new beginnings.. .... Ok so to get to my point of what Im trying to say - the symbolic drawing of that tree made me think of another significant metaphor I would like to share, as I have it in my mind and tomorrow will probably forget how I feel it now, it may evolve more... Here goes.... Picture a Tree and relate yourself to the tree - like the Bible also says be a tree that bears fruit....When people look at You (A Tree) will your shade be a shadow or will your shadow become shade to others. We all have a choice - Does Your Tree have a shadow which people fear and which you try to run away from but cant, because of our heart condition or past mistakes or hurt...is your tree creating a shadow ...or does it evolve any shadows or any reflections from your heart into shade? You decide......Stem out branches to rather provide a comfortable shade for others to feel safe around you, see yourself, your past, present and future... as shade* We all know that feeling of lying on a green bed of grass underneath a tree on a hot summers day xxx. Your choice - shadow or shade*
