Is there anything called a perfect screenplay? Its relative, all - TopicsExpress

Is there anything called a perfect screenplay? Its relative, all right. I have watched 7 episodes of the new TV show, Fargo, and I can safely say that its screenplay is as perfect as it gets. Noah Hawley has created a masterpiece. The top 5 shows this season would be Top of the Lake, True Detective, Breaking Bad, Hannibal and House of Cards. For me, Fargo outdoes all of them. Billy Bob Thornton, in one of the greatest small screen characters ever, reminds me of the diabolical Javier Bardem in No Country for Old Men. Just that the chilling sinisterness is punctuated with dark humour. Martin Freeman gives the best performance of his life, and the rest of the cast are equally brilliant - the likes of Alison Tolman, Colin Hanks, Bob Odenkirk (Saul Goodman from Breaking Bad), Adam Goldberg and Oliver Platt. And it also helps when you have the Coen Brothers as Executive Producers.
