Is there anything more radical for a cis male poet to do than - TopicsExpress

Is there anything more radical for a cis male poet to do than actively choose to remain silent? I have been wondering for a while about radical poetry (which is really just poetry not interfered with) and its implications. To my mind, there doesnt seem to be anything more radical for a person assigned into a particular niveau of power than to voluntarily abstain themselves of that power by denying its interaction with the world. This is not to say all cis male poets need to stop writing immediately. Only, to attempt to ascertain the scope and limitations we have inflicted on ourselves and continue to perpetuate and how they relate to our work. How does intersectionality affect the ability of poets to produce radical (i.e. destabilizing) work? Is it a matter of topic or is it a matter of reach? What does a radical poetry look like? Who would be afraid of it?
