Is there only one way to Heaven? Yes, and its a narrow way .. God Himself has provided us with the path to heaven, and if we reject that path we are gambling with our eternal destiny. There are so many people that I have talked to about this subject that the final conclusion with a lot of them is, there are many roads to heaven. If they truly believe in their faith or religion they will go to heaven. Some people say that Christian claims are exclusive and are being narrow minded. Any system that’s narrow-minded, limited, and bigoted is false; therefore, it cannot be the only way to God or heaven. This always opens up for a great conversation. As you will see in the following paragraphs I cannot agree with their viewpoints. The point we need to make here is that we did not invent the claim of Jesus being the only way. This is not our claim; it is Gods. We as Christians are merely relating His claim from the Bible. All religions cannot be true at the same time, because they teach totally different ways on how to have a relationship with God and how to get to heaven. Think of it this way, anything intolerant negates the truth. The fact that one plus one will always equal two is very narrow, but it is also right. Landing an airplane requires some very narrow and restricted specifications. Without them you would crash. Engines that run on only unleaded fuel are very exclusive. If you put any other gas in the engine you would ruin it. Here is what the Bible says about why there’s only one way to heaven and then you make the decision. Remember the Bible is the blue print to life. John 14:6 says, Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me". Acts 4:12 says, Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. These are bold claims. Jesus was the only one who could make this claim, because He was the unique Son of God, sent from Heaven to save us from sins by His death on the cross. And He proved His claim was true by His resurrection from the dead. Are you trusting Him alone for your salvation or someone else? The Jesus of Islam, Mormonism, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Christian Science and others is not the same Jesus of the Christian faith. Salvation (the road to heaven) in these religions are all different in comparison to the Christian faith. Salvation is not by grace and through faith alone in these religions, but it is also a matter of works. Let me explain what works are. Works would be like a membership to a church, or reading the bible, going to a bible study. It would also be partaking in rituals, being baptized, fulfilling sacraments, or striving to live up to a certain moral ethic. The true Gospel of the grace of God, whereby a man is justified before God and accepted by Him solely on the merits of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, apart from any human works of merit, is received by faith alone. The believer is saved by faith in Jesus Christ. However genuine faith will be accompanied by good works (James 2:18). So Christians believe salvation is by grace and faith in Jesus alone. It can then be observed that we are dealing with different religious ideas that are not compatible with one another. Therefore it is totally incorrect to say that all religions teach the same thing on this subject. Jesus said, there are two roads in life. It is your choice and answer that will determine your destiny. Remember there are two roads to eternity, One is broad that will lead you to destruction or hell and the other is the narrow road that will lead you to a relationship with God and eternal life. The cross is the only way of Salvation, which is on that narrow road. Christ shed his blood on that cross for a purpose, for you and me. Since some people don’t believe Jesus Christ was the truth, which of the other three possibilities about Jesus Christ do you believe? There are only four possible conclusions about Jesus Christ and his claims. He was either a liar, a lunatic, a legend or the Truth. The person who doesn’t believe he was the truth must label him as a liar, a lunatic, or a legend. The only way to God and Heaven is Jesus Himself. The only saving truth is His word and in Him is found the only real life. Jesus said, there are two roads in life. It is your choice and answer that will determine your destiny. Remember there are two roads to eternity, One is broad that will lead you to destruction or hell and the other is the narrow road that will lead you to a relationship with God and eternal life. The cross is the only way of Salvation, which is on that narrow road. Christ shed his blood on that cross for a purpose, for you and me. Which road are you on today?
