Is there some sort of unwritten rule somewhere that says after a certain age, a woman should lower her standards just so she isnt single??? I ask because thats basically the unsolicited advice I received from one of my co-workers today. No, she didnt outright direct it at me per se, but she was talking to me about another co-worker who is pretty much in the same situation as myself: a 30-something, single, college-educated woman with no kids. Granted, she (the one giving the advice) probably has about 25yrs on me and has been married for close to 40yrs but I still wasnt sure how I should feel about what she said....any thoughts???
