Is your life really your own? 2 Corinthians 5:14-15 (NKJV) 14 For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; 15 and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again. 2 Corinthians 5:14-15 (NLT) These verses clearly teach that those of us who have received HIS new life no longer live for ourselves. What does that mean in everyday life? Should we quit our jobs and all become evangelists? No, but it does mean that we live Christ centered lives rather than self-centered lives. Verse 14 says that we believe that we have died to our old life. If that is true it’s important for us to learn about our new natures in order to represent Him here on earth. Notice what compels us to live for Him: His LOVE! We love Him because He first loved us.
