Isa 53:3 He is despised and rejected of men; a Man of sorrows, - TopicsExpress

Isa 53:3 He is despised and rejected of men; a Man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and as it were a hiding of faces from Him, He being despised, and we esteemed Him not. Isa 53:4 Surely He has borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. Isa 53:5 But He was wounded for our transgressions; He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was on Him; and with His stripes we ourselves are healed. Isa 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, each one to his own way; and Jehovah has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. I weep when I read this scripture. This scripture tells of our Master who knew no wrong and was yet despised. He did only good for mankind and yet was and is despised by the masses. One can today walk among the masses of virtually any city and never hear His name mentioned unless in blasphemy. He brought love in perfect balance with judgment. I for one have been the recipient of His love and restoration and want to spend eternity thanking and loving Him and hopefully being faithful over a “few” things. He prayed to His Father that they (His followers) would be one, and yet today His body is so very fragmented. The old and the new are faced with a standoff leaving only a remnant of biblical followers with each side “knowing they are the right ones”. He is the living Word and the written Word and yet most of His followers believe that there is virtually “NO” absolute truth. Most boundaries are fuzzy from mans perspective, yet from His they are crystal clear. The overall church reminds me of a great ship out in the mighty oceans that has lost it way, yet there is an ark holding the faithful few. The churched masses resent that they could be excluded from the faithful, yet the Word says, “few there will be that find it”. The lukewarm say they are, “rich and have need of nothing”, yet the Master says they are, “poor, blind, retched, naked and miserable” , while unable to see themselves from His perspective. My heart daily prays for something to break through the impasse, the check-mate, the denial, the pride or what ever it is that cause us to not see clearly. Every professing Christian in the Word needs to think this following scripture through very carefully, “Joh 9:39 Jesus told him, I came to judge the people of this world. I am here to give sight to the blind and to make blind everyone who can see. Joh 9:40 When the Pharisees heard Jesus say this, they asked, Are we blind? Joh 9:41 Jesus answered, If you were blind, you would not be guilty. But now that you claim to see, you will keep on being guilty. May God help us all.
