Isaiah 30:15 For this is what the master, the Lord, the Holy One of Israel says: “If you repented and patiently waited for me, you would be delivered; if you calmly trusted in me you would find strength, but you are unwilling. This is not a picture of the do it yourself God we sometimes hear about throughout the cultures of the world. Every day we are bombarded with expectations to prove ourselves worthy of something: name your something. We are not asked to prove ourselves to God. God does not say, Show me why I should save you or Prove to Me why you would be worth something to My Kingdom. Your life is not an audition to gain Gods acceptance. It is through Jesus, the work of Him alone, that we are grafted into intimate communion with our loving and precious Father in Heaven. We rest in the perfect saving work that was done on the cross.
