Isaiah 42:1-4 “Here is my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen one in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on him, and he will bring justice to the nations. He will not shout or cry out, or raise his voice in the streets. A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out. In faithfulness he will bring forth justice; he will not falter or be discouraged till he establishes justice on earth. In his teaching the islands will put their hope.” Its all about Jesus. Prophecy after prophecy throughout the Old Testament pointing the One who is to come. Isaiah 53:5-6 (NIV) says, But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. The only way we could be reconciled to God is if God Himself acted and made it possible. His redemptive plan was always salvation through Jesus Christ. Our complete hope is in Him, and He stepped in and bore the wrath of God for our sin. We owe Him everything. Verse/Commentary courtesy of Verse-A-Day app. verse-a-day/Apps World wide
