Isaiah 53:4-5 broken down in the original Hebrew.... "Surely (definitely) He (Yeshua) has borne (carried on His own body, removed) our griefs (sicknesses and diseases) And carried (removed, taken on Himself) our sorrows (physical pain and suffering); Yet we esteemed Him stricken (struck down, defeated), smitten (hit, beaten, slain) by God, and afflicted (oppressed, made low, made to suffer). But He (Yeshua) was wounded (pierced, defiled, struck down) for our transgressions (sinful acts, rebellion), He (Yeshua) was bruised (crushed, broken into pieces, pressed) for our iniquities (sinful nature, guilt); The chastisement (punishment, correction) for our peace (shalom, physical and mental well being) was upon Him, And by His stripes (wounds, marks, strokes on the skin) we are (present, right now) Healed (made physically whole, restored, sown together)."
