Isaiah 9:2 What does Isaiah mean by people walking in darkness? From Isaiahs point of view, darkness represented separation from God. And the Bible is full of descriptions of what it means to be separated from God. Matthew gives us a description of darkness in 13:41-42, They will collect out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all evildoers, and they will throw them into the furnace of fire, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Separation from God is very painful. May we not fall into the darkness of what this world can do to us, but lets focus on the light of Jesus Christ. He can take away all the darkness and pain, if we allow him to live in us. Quinton Light
