Iskandar will continue wooing investments despite LKY saying it can be taken over ‘at the stroke of a pen’ Posted on August 15, 2013 - Featured, Property News. By starproperty.my/index.php/articles/property-news/iskandar-will-continue-wooing-investments-after-lky-saying-it-can-be-taken-over-at-the-stroke-of-a-pen/ Iskandar Malaysia will continue to woo investments from real estate companies worldwide despite Lee Kuan Yew’s unfavourable remarks regarding the Johor economic region at the Minister Mentor’s recent book launch, reported Bernama. “[Iskandar Malaysia] is an economic field of co-operation in which, you must remember, we are putting investments on Malaysian soil… and at the stroke of a pen they can take it over,” wrote Lee in the book One Man’s View of the World. According to Johor Real Estate and Housing Developers Association (Rehda) chairman Koh Moo Hing, Lee’s adverse comments on Iskandar Malaysia were inaccurate and did not reflect the real situation at the economic corridor in southern Johor, added Bernama. Koh cited the contrasts between Lee Senior, who turns 90 next month, and his son, Lee Hsien Loong, the current Singapore prime minister. “Lee Hsien Loong has a different view on Iskandar Malaysia from his father,” Koh was quoted as saying.
