Islam. Some of the major commerce languages on this planet are Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese and Japanese. Can somebody please tell me why would I waste my time learning a dead language that is not spoken anywhere in the world especially if I am not an accredited, certified and qualified archaeologist and/or anthropologist? When I look at those who try to speak the languages of our ancestors, although these languages are not spoken today, coupled with the fact that their translations are based SOLELY on European interpretations of these languages, I see a great disconnect, a cognitive dissonance if you wll. What these people tell me is that they have no want to do business with the rest of the world. They are content with their 9-5 jobs and would rather learn something that is absolutely of no use to themselves or their families, all for the sake of appearing cultural. These same people are mad about the Korean nail shop, the Chinese food store, the Hagaren (Arabian) owned corner store, the Puerto Rican bodega in their neighborhoods, all of whom, speak the languages associated with their nationality and yet, our so called conscious folk are trying to master languages that no one in the world speaks. It is baffling to me. The effects of mental slavery is so deep rooted, it makes you wonder if the streets have a chance if those who claim to be conscious are still mentally enslaved. Peace. FYI, the people in Egypt today speak Arabic. #AMST #NEWMOORS
