Island Cove Alert Dear Island Cove customer, This is just a reminder that we have frigid temperatures coming Wednesday night, January 8, 2015. Some forecasts are for single digits and are not expected to be above freezing for three days. These prolonged cold temperatures will damage your boat if proper care has not been managed. If your boat is not winterized: 1) Check your cabin and bilge heaters. 2) Be sure your engine compartment vents are covered. 3) Check your shore power connections at the dock and at the boat to be sure they are tight. 4) Heaters set on low are sufficient and run less risk of overloading the dock or boat system. 5) If your boat is in our dry storage buildings, they must be winterized without exception!!!
