Isnt it amazing how excited we get over something new? One of my friends purchased a new toy and I could tell he was greatly excited and proud of what he possessed. He held it like a new born baby; grinning from ear to ear as he explained all that this toy did. He wasnt stingy, no, as a matter of fact he wanted others to examine it closely and even hold it for themselves. I watched as several others held this toy and the moment it was placed in their hands a smile, much like the owners appeared on their face. This had to be what it was like for Philip when he encountered Jesus and heard the words, Follow Me. Philip found the One who is far greater than any toy. He, like my friend was so proud (that he had been found) he went to find his brother, Nathanael (John 1:43-49). I thank God that Jesus Christ found me! I like Paul am not ashamed of he gospel for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, (Rom. 1:16a). Im like Philip, I too am excited about Christ and I want to extend a heartfelt invitation to you and your family to join us Sunday November 10, @ 11 am for My Hope Sunday. We will feed you and I will personally tell you what Christ has done for me. God bless you and I pray you will make plans to come and experience something new in your life. Invite! Invite! Invite!
