Isnt the internet awesome? Its made more art and information available to us now than was possible at any point in history. But I see a lot people use content, both images and text, thats not their own without providing due credits. This is plagiarism, guys. Ive known one blogger (who also happens to be friend) to incorporate complete quotes and poems by other people into her posts and pass it off as her own. Without a single word of credit anywhere. Even more people use photographs (usually from Tumblr, where, granted, finding the actual artist is difficult) without permission. This is wrong. And more importantly, its illegal. And very uncool. Also, people who do this: someone WILL find out that youve stolen, sooner than later. And itll be embarrassing. Why subject yourself to that? The theory is simple, if its not yours and you want to use it on your Facebook or blog: attribute, attribute, attribute. Link to the original source if you can. Creatives love it when their work is shared. Be a sport. Okay, thats all.
