Isolated heavy downpours will continue over Lauderdale, Colbert, Lawrence and Franklin counties until sunset. Temperatures will fall from the upper 80s into the lower 70s by 10pm. Expect another warm start to the evening but overnight lows will drop into the middle 60s again. No rain is expected overnight tonight. With a clear sky tonight we should have great visibility for the International Space Station. It will pass over North Alabama and southern Tennessee at 8:59pm. It will be traveling from the WSW to the NE. Meteors from the Perseids Meteor Shower will be visible again tonight. Tuesday will be a hot and humid day with just a slim chance for a very isolated heavy downpour in the afternoon hours. A hot day for kids returning to school. Rain chances will increase Wednesday afternoon when we could see a few isolated t-storms. Expect scattered showers and thunderstorms to finish out the work week Thursday and Friday.
