Isolating your family to please your partner? It might not sound like it. It might not smell like it. It might not even resemble it. But it very well might BE it. MANIPULATION!!! Theres a finnnnnnnne line between someone manipulating you and them acting in your best interests. Nine times out of ten, those surrounding you are the only ones who can see it because you begin to speak like that person, think like that person and act like that person while forgetting that you are a person, with your own beliefs and thoughts and mind and interests. BELIEVE ME when I tell you this. If you dont recognise it NOW, you will lose yourself as well as those trying to fight to keep you, as yourself! You will sentence yourself to feeding a never-ending insecurity UNTIL the day that you realize that youve been made to prove your love in the worst ways. IFFFF that day ever comes. And it might. It might once you begin missing that person you sold in exchange for control dressed up as love. YOU! I hope so, at least. SK
