Israel and Palestine have set a nine-month deadline to reach a peace deal, US Secretary of State, Jonh Kerry, said after the Washington talks, which saw the sides returning to the negotiating table after a three-year stalemate. Kerry said that Israel and Palestine were committed to “sustained, continuous and substantive negotiations on the core issue” that divided them. According to the Secretary of State, the parties will meet again during the next two weeks, with the new round of talks to take place either in Israel or the Palestinian territories. - death - rt news - july 30th 2013
