Israeli-Palestinian Public Negotiating Congress – Postponed by One Week We need to postpone the congress by one week. The congress will take place on August 22-23 in Hamshbir Plaza, downtown Jerusalem. The reasons are: 1. We did not receive yet permits for the Palestinians to enter Israel and come to Jerusalem. 2. The activists who help us to promote the event need another week for publicity and preparation. 3. The police do not give permits for such events in Zion Square. (The Palestinians have a "backup delegation." But we want to enable their original delegation to participate.) Hamashbir plaza (which is in the area of Zion Square) is a very good place: We will post new fliers soon. We hope that the short postponement will help us to better organize the congress.
