Israeli lawmaker Ayelet Shaked (left) published on Facebook a call for genocide of the Palestinians. It is a call for genocide because it declares that “the entire Palestinian people is the enemy” and justifies its destruction, “including its elderly and its women, its cities and its villages, its property and its infrastructure.” It is a call for genocide because it calls for the slaughter of Palestinian mothers who give birth to “little snakes.” As a footnote: Shakeds concept of war, war of extermination, is not only analogous to the concept of war launched by the Nazis in World War II, it also sounds much like a rendering of politics (politics of war) by the chief Nazi jurisprudence theorist, Carl Schmitt. Otherwise, the notion that children and babies are like little snakes--thats stolen from Jonathan Edwards, the last and most noteworthy of the American Puritans.
