Israeli prison authorities’ negligence has resulted in the death of a Palestinian prisoner Hassan Al Torabi who had cancer, bringing the number of Palestinian prisoners dead in Israeli jails to 205. Al Torabi has been held since 1 January 2013 despite his severe health condition. UFree Network, which defends Palestinian prisoners, denounced the international community’s silence about Israeli crimes against Palestinian prisoners and detainees on a daily basis, saying 1,600 ill prisoners are being held behind Israeli bars, including 25 with cancer.
